The woman moved into the house across the street in the middle of winter. Nobody ever saw moving trucks arrive, and nobody ever saw her leave. Every night at exactly 2:13 a.m., Emily would wake up and notice the woman standing in her upstairs window, staring directly at her house.
At first, Emily tried to ignore it, convincing herself it was coincidence. But then strange things began happening. Family photos disappeared and reappeared in different rooms. Her back door was found unlocked every morning. One evening, while scrolling through old pictures on her phone, Emily froze. In the background of a photo taken six months earlier, before the woman had supposedly moved in and stood the same pale figure, watching from across the street.
Terrified, Emily called the police and begged them to investigate. The next morning officers arrived, but when they entered the house, they found it completely empty. No furniture. No electricity. No signs anyone had lived there for years.
Confused, Emily looked up toward the second-floor window.
Written in the dust on the glass were four words: "Turn around. I'm inside."
